The Challenge: My client wanted a logo that is vibrant and colorful. The logo needed to appeal to young children as well as the parents. My client wanted to show a set of teddy bears that look active and engaged.
The Solution: By following a clean style of illustration for the logo combined with bright colors, I was able to create artwork that appears reputable, safe, and fun. By adding a white stroke around the completed mark, it looks great on any background color although I recommend choosing colors that compliment or are in harmony with the designated colors in the logo.
The Process: To get started on this one, I looked through hundreds of photos of real teddy bears, teddy bear artwork, and teddy bear logos so I could get an idea of how to approach a concept like this. In the end, I found an illustration of a seated teddy bear with a very friendly, cute, and iconic style. Working from that artwork, I made alterations as needed and formulated an illustrative style that is unique and unlike any other teddy bear logo out there.
