When I am hired to conceptualize or begin a design project, it is my job to bridge the communication gap between my client and their audience. It is critical that I consider how the audience will feel when they see or interact with the final design piece. What is it like to use or interact with the design? Is it culturally sensitive or relevant? How well does the design work accomplish the goal or fulfil its purpose?
I take the time to understand your goals, concerns, and hardships. When I agree to work on a project, I do it because I am confident that I am the right person for the job and have the ability and resources to complete the work on time and within budget. Having spent years working for marketing and design agencies, I confidently deliver agency quality work that gets results. When you work with me, you can expect to work with a professional who is creative, experienced and dependable.
Most projects begin with a short consultation by phone or email where we discuss your project goals, budget, timeline, style preferences, and ideas. Once we agree that we are on the same page, I compose a light weight contract which outlines the project scope, deliverables, and terms and conditions required to complete the project. Once we have agreed on our terms and conditions, you return your signed portion of the contract along with the deposit and I begin working.
Projects generally begin with a few hours of research. In order to to my best work, I need to understand your positioning and competition. I pay close attention to design trends and changes across social media platforms so that I can provide fresh and current solutions.
The design process may include sketching, wire framing, collecting assets, vision boards and countless hours of experimentation. Remember, you only see the very best of my work! Most of it will never be seen again once the files are closed and archived.
Once I have settled on the perfect design concept, I will compose a digital mockup which will be sent to you via email. You will then be able to review the work and share any changes that need to be made in accordance with whatever was agreed upon on in our contract negotiations.
Once approval has been met or exceeded, final files are deliveered and orders are fulfilled. Don't be surprised if I follow up with you in a week or so after our project is completed to see how everythig is working out...or maybe I just missed you...or saw something I know you will enjoy!
